Pastor Richard through the BGAV has completed trainer certification of the nonprofit Darkness to Light's (D2L) flagship program Stewards of Children. Stewards of Children is designed for any adult who works with children and Pastor Richard is bringing this training to LBC on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 12:30 PM. LBC teachers and volunteers are strongly encouraged to attend this training. However, anyone who is interested in this topic may attend. The training session itself is video based, takes about 2.5 hours to complete, and includes a workbook with resources on how to create a policy for your church or organization. D2L's goal is to empower adults to prevent child sexual abuse.
